It hasn't been called yet, but it looks very much like the Mississippi Senate race is going to a runoff. With virtually all precincts in, Chris McDaniel the Tea Party candidate leads Thad Cochran the establishment incumbent by 49.6 to 48.9. A runoff will be held in 3 weeks on the 24 June. If McDaniel wins that runoff, his extreme views might actually give Dem Travis Childers a chance of winning that Senate seat. So the choice is between a somewhat moderate Repug who would be a certainty in the general, or a crazy Tea Party guy who gives the Dems a slight chance of gaining MS's Senate seat.

 

What the fuck is a repug?

 

A democrat is not going to win the election no matter who wins the runoff.
Cochran did not even want to run again but was talked into it.
Cochran has been in office for 41 years and has little to show for it except pork.

 

Anyone that votes incumbent is getting something in return. There isn't any working class person with half a brain going to be stupid enough to keep voting to be shit on, this is where you will see the money in politics

Even if I could vote in your country, my vote would be one among tens of millions, and would be very unlikely to make any difference whatsoever.

PetCock's vote won't matter either because he's in Rhode Island, a very Dem state. Same with Into Porn, who's in Cal, where Jerry Brown is certain to win.

 

For that matter, I live in a safe conservative electorate in Australia, so my vote doesn't matter much here either.

It looks as if Cochran is trying to appeal to Black voters to save his ass. Probably won't work, though. I bet you TeaTards aren't going to be pleased with Cochran over this. The primary is in four days.

Who is going to win depends on which side does the polling.
